About Research & Development Cell

Research and innovation are the pillars of quality education. The National Education Policy 2020 states that quality education builds on quality research in the institutes of higher education. Only a dynamic education setup encompassing active teaching, extensive learning, research, innovation and technology development can answer the social challenges to realise the dream of a self-reliant India. The research potential of Universities and HEIs play a vital role in imparting quality education.

The Research and Development Cell of the Zeal Institute of Management and Application facilitates and encourages the research culture among the teachers and the students. The establishment of the University R&D Cell is to develop and strengthen the research environment in the departments and to align it with the educational policies of India. The R& D Cell would provide a favorable environment for productive research, Industrial and Institutional collaborations and mobilise the resources and grants. College follows the research mandate by various National Missions SDGs, and Start-up India leading to a Self-Reliant India (Atma-Nirbhar Bharat).

Vision

To put in place a robust mechanism for developing and strengthening the research ecosystem within college, aligned with the provision of NEP-2020.

Mission

  1. To create a conducive environment for enhancement research productivity.
  2. To encourage collaboration across industry, government, community-based organizations, and agencies at the local, national and international levels.
  3. To facilitate greater access to research through mobilization of resources and funding

Objectives

  1. To identify and inform researchers about the appropriate research opportunities announced by different academic, research, industry, or government organizations
  2. To organize various events like national and international conferences, workshops on research methodology and patents, symposia, guest lectures in order to achieve the pre-stated aim enhancing the research awareness.
  3. To develop, prescribe, and administer rules and regulations to ensure the compliance of all researchers to the research quality assurance framework and the research.
  4. Provide scope for faculty and students to work on the latest evolving technologies with industry standards through consultancy projects.

Responsibilities of R&D Committee

  1. To prepare annual research activity plan for all the departments.

  2. To initiate and promote MoU with industries and R&D organizations for consultancy, collaborative research, sponsored projects, industry and Institute interactions etc.

  3. To arrange brainstorming sessions through talks by eminent personalities from industry, R& D organizations and institutions of repute for the better understanding of research methodology and practices currently followed.

  4. To support faculty for delivering talks at different events and conducting workshops, training programs, seminars, conferences, symposia and faculty development programs.

  5. To motivate students for presenting papers in National and International conferences and projects in competitions and exhibitions like AVISHKAR at university level. Interdepartmental / collaborative work to be encouraged.

  6. To monitor progress of the research and development activity.
